## [animate! The Digital Curve at Edinburgh Filmhouse](https://animate.org.uk/editorial/2005/03/animate-the-digital-curve-at-edinburgh-filmhouse/)

Animation on the move. Since 1990 digital filmmaking kit has proliferated dramatically from privileged high-end black box to today’s ubiquitous desktop production suite. The programme illustrates the impact on artist animation practice, from William Latham’s [Biogenesis](https://animate.org.uk/films/biogenesis/) to Chris Shepherd’s [Dad’s Dead](https://animate.org.uk/films/dadsdead/).

Like *The Naked Animator*, this programme is compiled from the 72 animate! films commissioned since 1990, but traverses a very different aspect of the artist’s relationship with the animated form.
