*Born Free* is a special V&A *Friday Late* interactive exchange showcasing British art and design in partnership with [PlayStation Portable](http://www.us.playstation.com/psp.aspx).

Bring your own PSP or try one for the night. Download special material including the [animate! All-Stars Mash-Up](https://animate.org.uk/editorial/2005/12/animate-remix-at-halloween-festival-london/) devised by Fay Milton of Buzzard Buzzard for the recent [Halloween Short Film Festival](http://www.shortfilms.org.uk/) at the ICA, featuring the work of Kayla Parker, Gary Carpenter, Tim Webb, Tim Macmillan, John Parry and Ian Cross, music by Search & Destroy.

Six animate! commissions [Hypnomart](https://animate.org.uk/films/hypnomart/), [Jukebox](https://animate.org.uk/films/jukebox/), [Miles from Anywhere](https://animate.org.uk/films/milesfromanywhere/), [Scrutiny](https://animate.org.uk/films/scrutiny/), [SKZCP](https://animate.org.uk/films/skzcp/) and [Sunset Strip](https://animate.org.uk/films/sunsetstrip/) play in the cinema, plus a half-hour programme of raw and rhythmic grime DVD docs culled fresh from East London by filmmaker Lucia Helenka. All gift-wrapped in a live set by street soul vocalist Alex Mills with DJ Target, and Search & Destroy.

The *Born Free* evening also offers an interactive environment ([Jason Bruges Studio](http://www.jasonbruges.com/)), surreal mind games ([Intro](http://www.intro-uk.com/)), a literary trail ([Zembla Magazine](http://www.zemblamagazine.com/)), late bar & food – and of course an opportunity to tour the magnificent museum.
